Looking for a gift for someone you love? This may be a gift guide of things that I personally adore, but perhaps all gifts are a reflection of the gift giver's own taste.
Don't get your brother-in-law a set of whiskey stones this holiday season - get him something that reflects what you have in common - maybe something that you might love and therefore he would too. It doesn't need to be something below - but just in case you want a few ideas, read on!
SOL Necklace California Dirt, $200 —Handcrafted in Los Angeles, bold pieces from California Dirt is timeless and genderless - and also simple enough for everyday wear. I personally have this necklace and am obsessed with it.
SACRED Trail Hat Grin27, $40 — A lightweight, water resistant and flexible trail hat. Grin27 produces their pieces in small batches so give them a peek before they run out this easy-to-wear piece.
Pit Fired #4 Small Vase Sam Lee Ceramics, $160 — Sam is an artist who fired a series of vases in an actual fire pit in place of a kiln. The result are these really interesting and almost charred pieces that are an interesting piece for the home.
You R Loved Tee Renegade Running, $60 — Often sold out... but at the time of me typing this, you can find this shirt in their Los Angeles & Oakland-based storefronts. A community-driven run shop, Renegade tends to carry the most sought-after run-focused products. They also carry gift cards!
Obsidian Quilted Vest So Nice Research, $320 — A unisex vest featuring freehand quilting throughout. This particular piece is a jet black nylon with lime quilting throughout. The YKK zipper is an iconic 2-way zip, so you can vent while hiking, or just style it the cool way or whatever by having a little unzipped at the bottom.
Nylon Ripstop Tote Bag Heavy Water Coffee, $25 — I am not sure how these are only $25 but these are handsewn by our friend Sebastian Clarke who always kills it behind the sewing machine. This is a great tote for a coffeehead (is that a word?) Perhaps fill it with couple bags of beans from Heavy Water for the perfect holiday gift!
Issue N2 Mental Athletic, $27 — A publication that feels fresh and exciting within the endurance sport scene. Glossy and reminiscent of high-fashion magazines I would flip through when traveling through Europe or something. Something fun for the coffee table, definitely the perfect low pricepoint gift for the person in your life that appreciates the space between art and sport.
Sage Patchwork Quilted Vest So Nice Research, $460 — Not much of a product shot in this grid but anyways this piece is a handquilted nylon vest featuring a bunch of freehand quilting throughout. I have been wearing the heck out of mine, it makes a neutral outfit a little more interesting with the slightly muted pop of green and blues.
Dirt Patchwork Quilted Vest So Nice Research, $460 — Haha another vest but guess what this is my gift guide so I guess I can feature as many of these as I want. This piece is fun and bold, but is still pretty much a neutral piece for someone who isn't interested in a lot of color but still wants some texture and added interest to their wardrobe.
If you found this helpful or have any questions on the above, shoot me an email (jess@soniceresearch.com) and I can provide a few more holiday tips & tricks.
I hope you are able to relax through the weeks coming up to the holidays and that gift giving isn't a chore but instead something meaningful and fun this season!
